Itinerary
Itinerary of Majestic Udaipur Kumbhalgarh Ranakpur Tour Package for 3 Days & 2 Nights
Day 1: Arrival, Check-in & Udaipur Sightseeing
Arrival at Udaipur Railway Station or Airport, followed by a smooth hotel transfer and check-in, marks the start of your majestic tour.
- City Palace- Rising majestically from the eastern banks of Lake Pichola, the City Palace of Udaipur stands as a magnificent symbol of Rajasthan’s royal legacy. Construction of the City Palace began in 1559 under Maharana Udai Singh II, the founder of Udaipur. At the City Palace Museum, you can witness royal artifacts, a crystal gallery, and detailed courtyards adorned with peacock mosaics. You can admire the enchanting architecture of the palace that embodies the grandeur of Mewar’s rulers.
- Jagdish Temple- A seventeenth-century Hindu shrine, Jagdish Temple, displays impressive Indo-Aryan architecture. The three-story building has intricately carved pillars and tall spires. A brass Garuda statue flanks the entrance. The idol of Lord Vishnu in the sanctum creates a spiritual atmosphere.
- Lake Pichola- Created in 1362 CE by a Banjara tribesman named Pichhu Banjara during the reign of Maharana Lakha, Lake Pichola is a man-made marvel. Surrounded by Aravalli hills, it is regarded as Udaipur's romantic centerpiece and a photographer’s paradise. The lake also houses the majestic Lake Palace, Mohan Mandir, and Jag Mandir. You can enjoy boating on the lake, dine by the lakeside, or book a sunset cruise for a magical experience.
- Jag Mandir Island Palace- The historic island palace on Lake Pichola, Jag Mandir Island Palace, features the grandeur of the Mewar dynasty in yellow sandstone and gleaming marble. Construction of Jag Mandir began in the early 17th century under Maharana Amar Singh, and was further expanded by his successors, Maharana Karan Singh and Maharana Jagat Singh I. Upon arrival by boat, you will be greeted by a row of colossal white marble elephants, standing guard at the palace entrance.
- Bagore Ki Haveli- The eighteenth-century Bagore Ki Haveli is one of Udaipur’s most captivating heritage landmarks. It stands proudly on the waterfront of Lake Pichola at Gangaur Ghat. The opulent mansion has witnessed centuries of royal life and now serves as a cultural museum. You can see Rajput-era craftsmanship in its courtyards, Jharokhas, and carved archways. Traditional costumes, turbans, miniature paintings, and historical artifacts highlight Mewar heritage throughout the rooms. For an authentic cultural experience, you can attend evening performances of Rajasthani dance and folk music.
Day 2: Udaipur Sightseeing
On day two, we will continue our Udaipur sightseeing and explore the remaining heritage sites.
- Saheliyon Ki Bari- Saheliyon Ki Bari is one of Udaipur’s most graceful and historically charming landmarks. Built by Maharana Sangram Singh I, it served as a royal garden for the Queen of Mewar and her 48 attendants. Lotus pools, marble domes, and elephant-shaped fountains reflect the happiness, beauty, and leisure of royal women. A small museum within the complex displays artifacts, royal portraits, and relics from Udaipur’s regal lifestyle.
- Fateh Sagar Lake- Originally built in 1678 CE by Maharana Jai Singh, Fateh Sagar Lake stretches across 2.4 kilometers. It is divided into three islands, including Nehru Park and Udaipur Solar Observatory. Boating on Fateh Sagar Lake is one of Udaipur’s most delightful experiences. Options range from leisurely paddle boats to thrilling speedboats. Cruising along its calm waters, you’ll see the rugged Aravalli Hills embracing the lake from three sides.
- Vintage Car Museum- The Vintage Car Museum houses the Mewar Maharana's vintage car collection. Inaugurated in 2000 by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, the opulent fleet features classic automobiles such as a 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom, a 1939 Cadillac, an MG-TC convertible, and classic Mercedes-Benz models. Display boards and accompanying photographs trace the lineage of each vehicle, offering fascinating insights into Udaipur’s royal automotive heritage.
- Sajjangarh Palace (Monsoon Palace)- Sajjangarh Palace, a hilltop citadel, is located on Bansdara Hill. It offers 360-degree panoramic views of the regal city against the Aravalli Hills. It is also known as Monsoon Palace, as it was built as a monsoon retreat and an astronomical observatory. The gleaming white marble façade of Sajjangarh Palace glows in sunlight and turns golden-orange at dusk. The design features Rajput-style domes, high turrets, arched balconies, and intricately designed Jharokhas.
Day 3: Breakfast, Optional Sightseeing & Departure
After hotel check-out, proceed on a day trip to explore Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur before departure.
- Kumbhalgarh Fort- Kumbhalgarh Fort is the birthplace of legendary Maharana Pratap. The UNESCO World Heritage Site features the second-longest wall in the world, after the Great Wall of China, spanning 36 kilometers, and the complex also houses 360 temples. The evening light-and-sound show narrates the fort's glorious history. The impressive ramparts and strategic location demonstrate military architectural brilliance.
- Ranakpur Jain Temple- The magnificent 15th-century Ranakpur Jain Temple was built in the 15th century. It is a marble marvel dedicated to Tirthankara Adinatha, the first Jain spiritual teacher. The complex features 1,444 intricately carved marble pillars, each with unique designs. No two pillars have identical patterns, showcasing the structure's exquisite craftsmanship. Surrounded by forests and hills, the temple’s setting adds to its mystique and spirituality.
- Shilpgram- Set against the rustic backdrop of the Aravalli Hills, Shilpgram celebrates rural India’s timeless artistry and craftsmanship. Spread across a vast 70-acre landscape, this open-air craft complex showcases handicraft exhibitions, including pottery, weaving, and painting. Cultural performances reflect authentic Rajasthani village life. You can enjoy souvenir shopping and interact with artisans.
- Hathi Pol Bazaar or Bada Bazaar- Traditional markets, Hathi Pol Bazaar, and Bada Bazaar are age-old trading hubs. You can immerse yourself in Rajasthan's artistic soul and experience the everyday bustle of local life. These pedestrian-friendly markets have narrow lanes filled with open-front shops, artists’ studios, and stalls brimming with handmade treasures. You can buy Rajasthani handicrafts, including miniature paintings and traditional jewelry with intricate work, as souvenirs. Classic Bandhej and Leheriya sarees, Mojari footwear, hand-carved wooden puppets, metal figurines, blue pottery, and silver ornaments are great gifts for loved ones.
At the end of the Majestic 3 Days & 2 Nights Udaipur Kumbhalgarh Ranakpur Tour, we will drive you to Udaipur Airport or the nearest railway station for your onward journey.
